At 400,000 there’s no balance that will ever be added most likely. It will take a long time for there to be that much content to fill the game up until that point. The end-game in 1.9.2 is under 100k talent. After that point, you basically expired all content. My primary focus has been balancing the game under that amount.

Food will play a more important part with a nutrition system. Hunger is basically a non-issue currently, and I want to try to fix that.

Steel and more metal working is planned.

In 2.0 the Kraken is a end-game enemy now, so they are more rare, have better drops and are much stronger.

Fur/cloth and other armors are planned.

Yep, this has been fixed in 2.0 for sure.

If you send me your save, I can restore the function of that chest for you.

That is indeed a bug that has been fixed.

There is a couple options for sleeping, including the hammock, which could be slightly less work to craft.

Currently there’s no difference besides the increase in durability. It’s planned to have differences though.

Currently, there’s no difference between them in 1.9.2, although in 2.0, fences have less durability than wooden walls. Stone walls of course have the most durability and are resistant to fire.

There’s some upcoming plans/ideas that may solve this, or at least give you an option. Including:

    • Bait (and creature attraction to certain items/food).
    • Monster in-fighting (some creatures will fight each other).
    • Scents (allow you to cover your scent for less creature attraction).

Yes, there is a warning, but again, only with the Bullboat/Sailboat.

in reply to: Wayward 2.0 my 2 cents #5584

Hit and run, leading them off sreen and all of that will still work. They are just smarter about getting to you now. Stone walls take quite awhile to be broken down.

    1. It’s on the todo, yep.

    a. On the todo.

b./c. We have a different implementation in mind for stacking/grouping. Nothing concrete to discuss at the moment though.

    2. The only way to leave the map is to travel with the Bullboat/Sailboat. Feel free to walk around as much as you want.

    Poison does not currently stack.

in reply to: Wayward 2.0 my 2 cents #5578

It’s true that 2.0 will be harder in some ways, but in other ways it has become easier. Monsters are much smarter and some will even break down walls over time; however, they spawn much rarer and don’t spawn at all unless you focus combat skills. Talent (which is what actually adds new tiers of monsters as you progress) raises more with combat skills, and less with others, making the game easier for longer.

Monsters in 1.9.2/2.0 can heal themselves, but it’s very rare.

This is still the case when playing the web version of 1.9.2, correct.

in reply to: Aberrant ghosts #5571

Still the same in 1.9.2, yep.

    • Damage from gathering without tools now scales with strength.

You will take more damage the more strength you have. This will only normally be 1-3 damage on any normal playthrough (instead of only 1). Most things in the game now have this same model. Although the effect is diminished as you progress so there is still some progression felt.

As in 1.9.2, in 2.0 you can easily “lose” monsters by kitting them. Fire Elementals will not burn down chests. The change is simply done so you can’t exploit them as walls any longer. With certain monsters, I would probably suggest ranged attacks if you are not strong enough. Keep in mind, Fire Elementals and higher tiered monsters show up later in 2.0 than they did in 1.9.2.

in reply to: Leaves compost? #5524

You can combine 2 compost items and soil together to craft a pile of compost.

    in reply to: Rarity #5415

There was a bug which made quality far too common when crafting anything – more than intended. This has been fixed for 2.0.

in reply to: Sapling Question. #5414

    Around 4125 turns.
