    Hi, first time poster, really love Wayward 🙂

    I’ve been playing the online version using PaleMoon (a fork of FireFox). I had to reset my profile, and my Wayward save vanished – I assume it’s somewhere in the “Old Pale Moon Data” folder that process creates.

    What I need to know is where Wayward saves games normally – I figure I should be able to pull it out of the old data and recover it.

    Can anyone help? Any assistance very much appreciated 🙂

    Here’s a couple pages that may help you locate it:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7079075/where-does-firefox-store-javascript-html-localstorage

    http://superuser.com/questions/320141/firefox-local-storage-and-cache-questions

    Maybe it uses the same general locations as Firefox. about:cache should give you a better hint though.

    Got them, thanks very much!

    For future reference to others with this issue – “Reset Firefox”(/PaleMoon) will lose your saves, but they can be restored by copying:
    places.sqlite and webappsstore.sqlite (not sure if both are required) from the desktop\Old Firefox Data\<profile name> dir to c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<new profile name>.

    That folder structure assumes Win7/8/Vista, it would be documents and settings on XP. On PaleMoon, it’s:
    desktop\Old Pale Moon Data\<profile name> -> c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\<new profile name>.
