Hey, I’ve been treasure hunting lately. Managed to dig up 5 or 6 last night. I finally found the one marked on a Remarkable Treasure Map scroll. It was on a tiny island in the middle of the ocean, and upon digging it up, a Pirate Ghost with red eyes spawned at my location. It did around 14-16 dmg per hit and I tried using my Legendary Wrought Iron Sword and it was immune to my attacks!
So I ran. Hard! It followed me all the way back to my camp! I was able to back up a few tiles from it, just long enough to grab two torches, light a fir, light both torches, equip BOTH TORCHES… and it was immune to those attacks!!
From there, I was forced to run across 2 large islands w 4 HP, finally lost it, ate, drank and slept nervously by my campfire to regain all my lost stats.
Moral of story!
Don’t mess w the red eyed pirate ghosts.Is there any logical way to do damage to those things? I’m scared it will return to eat my soul and haunt my dwelling for an eternity! XD
If it comes back I’ll be forced to abandon ship! Err… island?
Try using a different attack type. Also, that was an infernal ghost, and you need a LOT of skill to beat them.
The red eyed ghosts are essentially the hardest monster in the game. You need to be in the 80%’s (I think) of either archery/tactics before you can even manage to do 1 damage to them. Archery is definitely the best route to go, since you don’t want to get hit by them.
Thanks for the reply! I’m sure there are a few others out there wondering as well. 80%??? Guess I’ll have to up my game and start crafting some bows and the like. I’ll probably just gather all my belongings and high-tail it to a new island. That infernal ghost still lurks around the island hungry for my soul.
On a side note, is there a weight limit to what you can take to a new island via Bull Boat? I’ve worked long and hard on this island… stripping it of resources 😀 It’d be a shame to leave so much behind, but all’s well that ends well. Glad to see there are still people active in the forums!
