It’s possible. I won’t say how, but the browser version in Firefox is vulnerable to cheating. Ironically, it is still hella difficult to me even when I’m cheating my arse off. Maybe donators could have a ‘sandbox’ mode with some official cheats enabled? 😀

In an unrelated note it looks like the accumulated craft recipe data is lost if Firefox shuts down unexpectedly? Given how long it took me to find out how to make a still, that was not a very good development.

Actually, I have a suggestion. Could you distinguish between ‘Salt Water’ and ‘Unpurified Water’? ‘Salt Water’ could be just like it is now, while ‘Unpurified Water’ would actually quench your thirst somewhat, while also doing some health/stamina damage. At present I think the thirst mechanic is out of balance with other dangers.

Oh yes, cheating and modding is very much intended. In fact, at this stage, even if I tried to lock it down, there would be no fool-proof method to stop people from tinkering, so I haven’t even tried. I know the people that want to cheat is a very low percentage, and there’s an even lower percentage of people that KNOW how to cheat.

It doesn’t bother me all that much since that’s just how the player wants to experience Wayward? If they have a different idea what fun is, I shouldn’t force them into my idea of fun.

There’s going to be many changes with thirst coming up (including what you mentioned). I recently just revealed some stuff here:
